JFSNEPA Honors Jim and Susie Connors at Inaugural Event

JFSNEPA honored Jim and Susie Connors at our inaugural JFS Community Matters Recognition Event which was attended by over 150 people on June 8, 2016 and raised over $19,000 for JFS programs and services!

The event honored former Scranton Mayor Jim and Susan Blum Connors for their dedication to JFS and the local community. Former Democratic member of the PA House of Representatives Gaynor Cawley was the speaker for the evening and Lackawanna County Commissioner Patrick O’ Malley honored Jim and Susie with a Proclamation declaring June 8, 2016 Jim and Susie Blum Connors Day in Lackawanna County.

A silent auction was held with items from over 18 local businesses and the event was sponsored by over 30 corporate sponsors and community individuals.

The Scranton Hilton Hotel and Conference Center hosted the event which was catered by Prestige Caterers and music for the evening was provided by the Doug Smith Jazz Trio.
